Pan Tahini Pizza
Ingredients
Ingredients: for a pan pizza 26-28cm (10”-11”) diameter
- 2 eggs (Size M / L)
- 5 tablespoons raw tahini
- 3 tablespoons water
- Pinch of salt
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
For my tomato sauce (Can also use ketchup / store-bought sauce)
- A small can of tomato paste (100g)
- 3-4 tablespoons non-dairy milk
- Pinch of salt
- A little garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
- 50g-70g shredded mozzarella
- Optional toppings – olives green / black, onion, mushrooms, corn etc.
Preparation
Start by making my tomato sauce (If you chose to make it): In a mixing bowl put all sauce ingredients, tomato paste, milk, salt, garlic powder, dried oregano and mix well until receiving a thick uniform sauce.
Move on to making the pizza mixture: in a mixing bowl put all pizza ingredients, eggs, raw tahini, water, salt and baking powder and mix it well until forming a uniform mixture.
Heat a pan and oil it. Pour the mixture into the pan and smear it in the shape of a round. Cover the pan with a lead and cook a little. Once the mixture’s brim begin to stiffen and little bubbles are formed on the mixture, flip it (Take a peek at the pictures below).
Smear the tomato sauce on top of the dough and spread the cheese and toppings (I recommend not to load with too much toppings). Cover the pan with the lead again and cook on a small fire until the cheese melts and gives in to the heat.
Place the pizza on a serving plate, spread a little basil leaves, cut into equal slices and have a good time 🙂
A little extra from me:
- Can be kept in a sealed box in the fridge for up to 3 days. Can be heated in a pan, toaster or microwave.
- You can use any cheese you like.
- You can use any tomato sauce you like.
- Raw tahini can be substituted for almond butter.
- I recommend not to double the portions in this recipe, it’ll make flipping the dough in the pan hard.
- Make your own personal versions and enjoyyyy 🙂
