It’s a bite that I love to make for our after lunch snacking.
There’s no chocolate in the muffins, even though it doesn’t look like it.
There are only 2 tablespoons of flour in them and you can also omit them.
They’re full of flavor.
Their texture is perfect.
And they’ll make all the house members happy and smile.

Tahini Muffins
Ingredients
Ingredients: suitable for about 8-10 units of medium-sized muffins
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup raw tahini (for alternatives, have a look at “A little extra from me”)
- ½ cup maple syrup
- Pinch of salt
- ⅓ cup cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons white sugar (for alternatives, have a look at “A little extra from me”)
- 2 tablespoons oat flour (for alternatives, have a look at “A little extra from me”)
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- For decoration: a drizzle of 2 tablespoons of tahini
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) on turbo mode or upper and lower heat mode and line a muffin pan with cupcake paper.
In a bowl put all the liquid ingredients, the eggs, tahini, maple syrup and salt and mix well.
To the liquid ingredients bowl add the dry ingredients, the cocoa, sugar, oat flour and baking powder and mix to a sticky and uniform batter.
Using a large ice cream scoop or a measuring cup, transfer the batter to the pan pan. Kindly note – it’s important to put an equal amount in all the muffin sockets so that all the muffins will be baked uniformly.
With the help of a spoon drizzle a thin stream of tahini on each muffin and with the help of a toothpick create swirls between the muffin batter and the tahini drizzles.
