I’ve decided to fill my longing for a toast,0
Not just any toast, the classic one with yellow cheese.
Well maybe not the classic one, but one containing a few extras to add a little spice.
Because who doesn’t love toast?
It’s a national dish in every home in Israel,
There isn’t a child who doesn’t have toast at least once a week.
It’s classic,
It’s indulging,
It’s exciting,
It’s an amazing and incredible bite.
With all the longing and love for a toast, this is the stage where you all fall in love in an instant.
Not only that we’ll make the toast in our panini press, a moment before we’ll also make the toast’s bread in the panini press.
What??? Oh yes!
Right now we’re going to make an amazing bead in the panini press,
Beyond the fact it’ll turn to any toast that you like,
It can also be a bottom toast with avocado or a perfect base of a sandwich.
So it’s nice to meet you 🙂 I’m another magic of the creations family by Essy Roz.
A fabulous and perfect toast bread,
It’s so soft and puffy,
And is ready to turn into anything you like it to be.
This bite is magical,
It’s genius,
It’s sweeping,
It’s crushing,
It’s indulging and vivacious,
A bite filled with peace and serenity.
A few single minutes of mixing and initial baking and the magic will happen in your kitchen too 🙂
Happy and joyful toast days to us all 🙂
Toast Bread
Ingredients: suitable for one personal toast
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup oat flour (For alternatives, have a look at “A little extra From Me”)
- 2-3 tablespoons water
- Pinch of salt
Steps:
- In a bowl put all ingredients, egg, oat flour, water and salt and mix well until forming a uniform texture.
- Place parchment paper in the panini press and spray a little oil on it. Pour the mixture on the parchment paper and spread it in the shape of a rectangle.
- Bake the mixture until it dries and turn to an exciting bread. Pay attention because the mixture will dry in less than a minute, we’ll take the toast bread out of the panini press once it’s dry and stable enough so that you can spread different spreads on it, don’t forget it will go in the panini press again while making the toast.
- Take the bread out of the panini press and split it into two parts or we can build the toast on one half of the bread and then fold the other half on it.
- Spread on one part any spread you like and place yellow cheese and toppings on top of it and then close with the other half of the bread.
- Put the toast back in the panini press until it’s done to your liking.
In case the panini press squashed the toast a little too much, place a teaspoon upside down to prevent the panini press from squashing it (Have a sneak peek at the picture).
A little extra from me:
- Can be kept in the fridge in a sealed box for up to 3 days.
- In my toast I spreaded turmeric spread, tuna, a slice of mozzarella and a tomato sliced very thinly and a little salt 🙂
- For a perfect turmeric spread mix a little turmeric with my quick tofu cheese (click here to see the recipe)
- Can use any spread that you like such as pesto, olive tapenade (click here to see the recipe), mayonnaise etc.
- Oat flour can be substituted for almond flour / lentil flour / teff flour / coconut flour / quinoa flour / buckwheat flour / chickpea flour / spelt flour (Contains gluten). If you choose to change the flour, pay attention to the mixture, some flours will need one or two more tablespoons of water and some won’t.
- Click here to see how to grind oat flour at home.
- Inspire to form a thick mixture, almost the same as grinding.
- Can fill the toast with anything you like, though don’t overload it, the toast will not absorb liquids like regular bread.

The Vegan Version
Ingredients: suitable for one personal toast
- 1 cup raw tahini / almond butter
- 3-4 tablespoons water
- Pinch of salt
- 3 tablespoons oat flour
Steps:
- Warm up the panini press to a high intensity.
- In a mixing bowl put tahini, water and salt and mix until forming a thin tahini mixture.
- To the bowl add oat flour and mix well until all flour lumps disappear in the mixture.
- Let the mixture rest for 20-30 seconds.
- Place parchment paper in the panini press and oil it a little. Pour the mixture in the center of the panini press and place another oiled parchment paper on top of it, try to really stick the parchment paper to the mixture.
- Close the panini press and let the mixture cook for between 3-5 minutes (Depends on how strong your panini press is). Get the toast bread out of the panini press once it’s dry and stable enough for you to smear spreads on it, don’t forget it’s going in for another bake while making the toast.
- Get the bread out of the panini press and split it into two parts or build the toast on one half of the toast bread and fold the second part on it. Smear on one of the parts of the toast a spread that you like and place vegan yellow cheese and the toppings we like on top and place the other half of the bread on it.
- Put back in the panini press until the toast is done to your liking.
In case the panini press squashed the toast a little too much, place a teaspoon upside down to prevent the panini press from squashing it (Have a sneak peek at the picture).
