Some recipes take us straight back to childhood,
and chocolate salami is definitely one of them 💜
My healthy chocolate salami is one of the tastiest, happiest and most comforting bites there is.
It’s chocolatey,
melt-in-your-mouth,
rich,
and full of wonderful ingredients that turn every slice into a wholesome and nourishing treat.
I chose to add pumpkin seeds, which give it a wonderful nutty flavor and add magnesium and zinc to every bite, helping to support the immune system.
It also has almond flour and peanut butter, which give it a rich and comforting texture, along with quality fats and plenty of calcium.
The maple syrup adds a pleasant, perfectly balanced sweetness that brings all the flavors together.
It has a combination of wonderful ingredients that suits so many moments throughout the day:
as an afternoon snack,
as a little treat in a lunchbox,
or as a sweet bite alongside a good cup of coffee.
You make it in just a few minutes and in one bowl,
shape it into a beautiful, even chocolate salami,
coat it in almond flour and chill it, letting the cold work all its magic.
After chilling, slice it into small, comforting pieces,
and you get a chocolatey bite that’s very hard to stop snacking on.
Having healthy chocolate salami waiting in the refrigerator is always a good idea,
and all that’s left is to slice it, serve it with love and enjoy every bite ✨

Ingredients
Please note that all my recipes use standard measuring cups (one measuring cup holds 250 ml) - I recommend using them so your recipe turns out as accurate and perfect as possible
For one chocolate salami, about 20-25 slices:
- 1/3 cup maple syrup (or any preferred liquid sweetener).
- 1/2 cup peanut butter (or any preferred nut butter).
- A teeny-tiny pinch of salt.
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder.
- 3/4 cup almond flour.
- 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds, ground into a powder in a smoothie blender. (You can substitute more almond flour.)
- 1/4 cup almond flour for coating.
Preparation
Grind the pumpkin seeds into pumpkin seed powder in a smoothie blender.
Now prepare the mixture, put the maple syrup, peanut butter and salt in a bowl, and mix until combined.
Add the cocoa powder, almond flour and pumpkin seed powder, and mix into a smooth and suuuuper delicious mixture.
Transfer the mixture to baking paper and shape it into a salami with an even thickness, coat the salami in almond flour and roll it in the baking paper, then put it in the refrigerator to chill for two hours or more. You can also put it in the freezer for an hour.
Take it out of the refrigerator and remove the baking paper, gently slice the salami with a smooth-edged knife into pieces about one and a half fingers thick, and serve them with love to the people we love.
A little more from me:
- This is a perfect bite for an afternoon snack, or as a treat waiting for them in their lunchbox after their mid-morning meal.
- You can keep it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a week.
- You can replace the pumpkin seeds with more almond flour or oat flour.
