There are days when all we need is one quick, joyful pot.
The kind of pot the whole family loves,
made with ingredients we have at home,
and within a few minutes it fills the kitchen with the aroma of a good meal.
Pasta with tomato sauce is exactly that kind of pot.
Its sauce is smooth and thick,
sweet in just the right measure,
and wraps every piece of pasta in so much flavor of home.
This is the perfect pasta for summer vacation days,
for a quick lunch,
or for a busy evening when everyone is hungry and wants to eat now.
You can serve it alongside a hot schnitzel,
you can eat it straight from the pot,
or pile a mountain of grated Parmesan on top and surrender to all that goodness.
A few minutes of preparation,
one family-sized pot,
and so many plates happily emptied 🍝

Quick Pasta with Tomato Sauce
Ingredients
Ingredients for a family-sized pot:
- One 500-gram package of pasta.
For the sauce:
- Three tablespoons olive oil.
- Two garlic cloves.
- 200 grams tomato paste.
- Two tablespoons date syrup.
- 3/4 cup water.
- One teaspoon salt.
- You can add half a teaspoon dried oregano or any preferred seasoning.
Preparation
Cook the pasta according to the package instructions.
Prepare the sauce in a wide pan or sautรฉ pan, heat the olive oil and add the garlic cloves, cut each clove in half or crush them, according to your personal taste.
Add the tomato paste and date syrup to the hot oil with the garlic cloves and stir them into the oil, add the water and salt, stir and cook until combined and boiling.
When the sauce comes to a boil, let it bubble for a little while, until it reaches a lovely thickness and becomes smooth.
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and mix until combined.
Serve alongside any dish you prepare, or with a mountain of grated Parmesan over the pasta.
A little more from me:
- You can keep the pasta in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4 days.
