Tahini and sesame cookies
Ingredients
Please note: All of my recipes are measured in universal cups (a measuring cup with a volume of 250 ml) - I recommend choosing them so that you get the most accurate and perfect result.
Suitable for 15-17 cookies:
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup raw tahini
- A pinch of salt
- 1 1/4 cups almond flour
- 1/3 cup white or whole sesame seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- For coating: 1/4 cup white sesame seeds (adds a lot, but not mandatory)
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 175°C, preferably in turbo mode but not a must.
Place the maple syrup, raw tahini, and salt in a bowl and mix well. Add the almond flour, baking powder, and sesame seeds and mix into a dough that is easy to work with. If the dough comes out slightly sticky, add 2–3 tablespoons of almond flour and mix until you get a cookie dough that is easy to work with.

Create cookies of uniform size: with your hands, form balls from the cookie dough. Flatten each ball into a flat cookie, coat it with a little sesame, and place all the cookies on the baking tray.
Place in the oven for 10–12 minutes until the cookies puff up slightly, turn golden, and set. Remove from the oven, cool slightly, and serve 🙂
A Little Extra From Me:
- You can store the cookies in an airtight container on the counter for up to a week.
- You can also skip coating the cookies with sesame.
- You can also make the cookies small, bite-sized, and perfect.
