Chocolate Filled Banana
Ingredients: suitable for one banana (double the quantities according to the number of diners)
- 1 banana
- 1 teaspoon almond butter or any other nut butter you like
- 2-4 dark chocolate squares
- A tiny pinch of salt
Toppings to sprinkle over your hot banana:
- Almonds / nuts
- Coconut powder
- Crushed cocoa beans
- Or anything you want
Steps:
- Preheat an oven or frying pan to 355°F (180°C).
- Place the banana on the work surface and snip a line in the center. Remove some of the banana peel next to the cut we made.
- Fill the banana with the almond butter and the chocolate squares and sprinkle a little salt over everything.
- Put the banana in the oven for 10-12 minutes, until the chocolate melts and the banana surrenders to the heat.
Take the banana out of the oven / frying pan, sprinkle toppings according to your personal taste and enjoy continually.
A little extra from me:
- The banana can be kept in the fridge in a sealed box for up to 3 days, but I recommend eating it in close proximity to preparation.
- You can heat it in the oven / frying pan / microwave.
- You can omit the chocolate and add more of the nut butter you chose.
- You can make the same bite with peach or apricot halves 🙂
