Rice Paper Matzo in a Toaster
Ingredients
- Rice papers – one for each matzo
the number of papers depends on how many matzos you want to make
Preparation
Set the toaster to a high heat.
Dip the rice paper in warm water for a few seconds. Remove the paper while it’s still relatively firm. Fold the rounded edges of the rice paper to form a square. This folding gives the matzo a resemblance to traditional matzo and also adds stability and a pleasant texture. If you have a square rice paper, you can fold it in half.
Place parchment paper in the toaster. Lay the rice papers on the parchment paper. Toast for a few minutes until the matzos turn a golden brown and become crispy. Remove the matzos from the toaster and serve.
A Little extra from me:
- You can prepare the matzos in advance, but it’s best to make them close to mealtime to keep them crispy.
